Jesus,The Messiah!

The critics of Jesus ministry had just been thinking that Jesus was baptizing but in actual fact,

it was His disciples who where baptizing. Jesus ,now ,after His disciples finished baptizing has

to leave Judea and go back to Galilee. He has to pass through Samaria for God has prepared

an assignment for Him there. He comes to a town in Samaria called Sychar near the plot of

ground Jacob had given to His son Joseph  Jacob's well is located here and because Jesus was

tired due to the long journey,

He sits down there by the well. This shows us that Jesus had a body just like you and me for

he could get tired. It is around noon by the time Jesus is getting to the well so probably it it

hot also. A Samaritan woman comes to draw water at around this time and finds Jesus resting

by the well. It was not usual for women to go to the well alone for fetching water is

considered a social activity by the Samaritans. This woman is stigmatized evidently by are way

of life. Amazingly, she finds a man sited by the well. By look he looks like any other man so

when Jesus engages the woman in a discussion, she thinks she is about to get a man like the

others she has been drawing into fornication. To make the matter worse, the disciples of Jesus

had gone to look for food, so Jesus and the woman, were there by themselves.

The environment looks suitable for private talk but Jesus seizes this opportunity to give a

worship talk, and from there He reveals who He is to the woman. Jesus breaks the silence by

asking for water to drink from the Jacob's well. By look Jesus looks like a Jew to the woman,

and traditionally, Jews and Samaritans can't mix and can't drink from the same well. The

woman is not understanding clearly who is speaking to her. By look she concludes that Jesus

is Just a Jew. She is not seeing beyond the Jewish body for Jesus took a body like the

descendants of Abraham. She is not also understanding the gift of God. The well she has

come to draw water from is symbolically gift of God. Jacobs' well is deep ,and to draw the

water from there one needs something to draw the water. The woman cannot understand

that Jesus is able to draw the water of life. Jesus is making it clear here the fact that, he who

drinks the water He is giving will never thirst again rather this water will well up to eternal life.

This is the kind of water we need. Men and women are thirsty for the wrong things which

never satisfy. Jesus satisfies and gives eternal life. When the woman opened up to the living

water ,Jesus drops the bombshell, "Go get your husband and come back" Jesus makes this

request with understanding for He knows all things. The

woman is now very sincere to Him because she needs the living water.

Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. Jesus makes it clear to the woman that what she says, that she has no husband is true and that the one she thinks she has is not her husband. By this statement, the woman redefines her definition of Jesus from just a Jew to a prophet. Then she introduces the idea of worship and the place of worship. To this Jesus responds with divine wisdom by beginning from the known to the unknown. He makes it clear to the woman now that she knows He is a prophet, that a time is coming and the time is now when true worshippers will not worship on that mountain or in Jerusalem. But rather they will worship God in the Spirit and truth. After the insight on what worship is all about, the woman make new discovery and says, when Messiah will come He will tell them all things. To this Jesus says He is the Messiah the woman is waiting for. This shows us if we are to worship acceptably, we have to know Jesus prophetically and as the Truth. This is possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. As a prophet ,He will reveal to you the times and seasons of God. As Messiah, He will tell you about yourself and you will discover you need the Him to save you. Know, how do you know Him.

Jesus is able to meet us as we go about our businesses. Once He meets us He begins a process to engage us and lead us to know Him so that We may worship acceptably. It begins with Thirst for him, Then see Him through the prophetic eye. This leads you to know Him as the messiah. Messiah means the anointed one. In Greek ,Christ. Which means the anointed one

Who is Jesus,Eye witness Report.

John;3;22-36
Jesus goes to the Judean countryside and spends time with His disciples and is baptized. He seems to help in water baptist before He ventures into His mandate to preach about the kingdom of God and baptizing with the Holy Spirit and fire. This shows us that Jesus helped in baptizing in water at some point. John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim because there was plenty of water, and more people were coming and being baptized. This was before John the Baptist was put in prison. As John the Baptist and Jesus went about their God-given mandate, an argument arises about who is greater than who. This is a generational problem, even in our generation people want to know the greatest preacher around, the greatest ministry around, the greatest church around, the greatest title around, and so forth. People care little about the mandate one is given by God to mankind, but they focus on the greatness or smallness of the vessel. It is not the greatness or the smallness of the vessel that counts, it is rather the greatness of God that matters. God uses us to reveal himself not us and others. He covers us under his wings and uses us for His glory so that He may be seen through us. John in response to these arguments says a man can only receive what is given to them from heaven. In other words, John knew the source of all things, God the father. John is aware of the testimony about Jesus. John knows who the Messiah is. John also knows how he has been sent and the scope of his ministry. He reveals that he belongs to Jesus by expressing that "the bride belongs to the bridegroom."  John is happy about what Jesus is doing. His joy is complete because Jesus is being manifest just as he had foretold. In the figure of speech John is using, Jesus is the groom, and John is the bride. This means the disciples of John were prepared for Jesus and therefore John the Baptist had no problem having his disciples follow Jesus. John knew also his ministry was coming to conclusion and he needed to hand it over to the groom. John the baptist was happy that Jesus was becoming more popular and greater. John was willing to become small so that Jesus may become greater. This reveals to us how our greatness can easily cover the greatness of our God. Our acts can also cover the acts of God, our testimony can cover the testimony of Christ. According to John, the one who comes from above is above all. This reveals to us that since Jesus came from above, He is above all. He who comes from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth . The one from above testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony, However, whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

In a nutshell, according to the ye witness, John the Baptist, Jesus;

Is greater than John the Baptist.

Is The bridegroom.

Came from above.

Is loved by the Father.

owns all that the Father has.

Now that you know Jesus in the above-mentioned dimensions, what step will you take to respond to this revelation? Ponder about the fact that the father has placed in the hands of Jesus all He has. So you have Jesus, you have everything the Father has! You believe in Him, you have eternal life. Hallelujah!

Jesus,The Teacher.

 John;3;1-21.

Nicodemus, a pharisee of the Jewish ruling council comes to Jesus at night. Probably faring the authorities of the day who were against the teachings of Jesus. Nicodemus goes beyond the common belief of the day and acknowledges that Jesus is a teacher sent from God based on what he saw Jesus doing. Actions speak louder than words. There were so many teachers in the day Jesus met Nicodemus, but their actions did not qualify them to have come from God. Jesus' teaching was accompanied by befitting actions. In other words, God was at work through Jesu as He taught, and therefore, those who heard Him and saw the result of His teachings concluded that, Jesus is a teacher sent from God. Now that Nicodemus acknowledges the fact that Jesus is a teacher sent from God, and that God was with Him, he begins to teach Nicodemus what God expects of us. The big question now is; what did Jesus teach Nicodemus?

The greatest lesson Jesus teaches Nicodemus is; No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. Nicodemus, due to his background environment interprets this as a physical birth and asks; how can someone be born again when they are old? Jesus is teaching the same lesson to everybody who is not born again the same lesson. On most occasions, sinners respond in a similar manner but in a modern version.Jesus' emphasis is that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of two things; Water and Spirit. For flesh gives birth to flesh, and the Spirit gives birth to spirit.Most sinners are surprised by this kind of teachings for they do not appeal to the flesh but to the Spirit.Most people will not see the possibility of the things Jesus is talking about.However with God all things are possible.The engagement of teacher Jesus with teacher Nicodemus was a unique one.Simply because both were teachers.Nicodemus was a teacher of the Israelites,Jesus was from heaven and He was teaching what He learned from the father.Jesus used earthily things to teach heavenly things,Nicodemus used earthily things to confirm earthily things.Jesus was qualified to teach about heavenly things because he had come from heaven.Moss in the old testament lifted up the snake in the wilderness for the children of Israel to escape minnt death from snake bites,Jesus was also lifted in the wilderness when John the Baptist saw Him and said "behod the Lamb of God who take that sin of the world." This happened practically when Jesus faced the cruel cross and died there sacrificially for our sins.This was the greatest manifestation of love of God to mankind.It was also the greatest intercession ever made by God for mankind.Those who believe in him,rather, those who take what he says to be true and apply it in their life without questioning,they will; i).not perish,ii).have evalasting life.This is powerful.Nobody wants to perish or lack ternal life.The only way to eternal life if to believe in Jesus teaching and also in Jesus Himself.The only way out of destruction is Jesus himself.There are many roads that lead to Rome,but only one to eternal life,Jesus Christ of Nasareth.The fact according to teacher Jesus into eternal lif is;

God loves the world.

God gave His only begotten son.

So that, all may believe in Him and escape the destruction in the world.

And then have eternal life.

Jesus did not come to condemn the world.

He came so as to save the world.

Those who don't believe in him are condemned already.

Light has come into the world.

People love darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

I urg you in the name of th Lord to desire to learn from teacher Jesus and you will find life eternal in Him.He is the one with words of life and lif will flow from his word to your life dispelling the darkness that may be there in your life.Prayrfully ask the Lord to teach you for he is the best tacher who has ever lived.

Jesus is the Master Builder.

Ref; John;2;12-25.

Jesus goes to Jerusalem when it was almost Jewish Passover. This feast was a yearly practice from the time God delivered the children of Israel from Egyptian bondage. It was a feast signifying and reminding Israelites of their deliverance from Egyptian bondage. When Jesus arrives in Jerusalem He goes straight to the house of His father, the Temple. He is disappointed by the activity of the day because it is contrary to his expectation. The house of His father has been converted to a marketplace, people selling and people buying. This is not different from what we see in most of the houses which bear His name today. We have had whole congregations converted to marketplace places, with all kinds of items on sale in the name of God ranging from, anointing, grace, ministries, favor with senior men of God or with the pastor and church leadership just to mention a few. Jesus swang into action when he noticed the mess which was taking place in the presence of the Lord. He overturned the tables. Scattered the coins of the money changers(Forex in the house of God!). Those selling doves were commanded to remove them from the house of God. When you see too many doves parching in the house of worship, it means there is little worship inside for these birds fear loud voices! Or rather they fear spirited worship! The action of Jesus on that particular day reminds us that, the zeal of the Lord is the one which consumed Him. The zeal of the Lord should consume us. The zeal of the Lord should consume you! We need a renewed passion for the house of God, the church. If you treat the house of God just like any other house, that is with contempt, and the house of God in this context is the church, the assembly of the called-out ones, whether they meet under a tree, in a house, shop, or underground in a cave for those in persecuted regions like China, you are a material to be chased out of the house of God. The Jews are not quick learners as we see their reaction to what Jesus has just done to them. They demand a sign as proof of the authority He has. Jesus answered then with divine wisdom which they could not refute, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it in three days"This is profound. It is mind-boggling. It is above the wisdom of men which is coming to nothing. They thought He was talking about the physical temple, and retorted, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?"However, the temple he had spoken of was his body. They come to understand this after they have seen for themselves for thy came to understand this after He rose from the dead. Please note the fact that, when Jesus speaks of raising the temple, it is a prophetic utterance that has a double reference. There is immediate meaning and meaning in the future. The future significance of the destruction of the temple was fulfilled in 70AD when Romans, during the First Jewish-Roman War captured Jerusalem and destroys both the city and the Temple. What remains is the western willing wall seen in my featuring photo which I was taken from the entrance to the western wailing wall. Now while Jesus is at the feast, He does waste time urging about authority or something like that He does great signs in their midst and many believed in Him. Remember this is after he has just turned the tables. He ministers and many believe in Him. Being serious is spiritual. You cannot conform and minister a transformative message at the same time. The people you laugh and joke with, you can't help them out of their mess. Whatever God does, lead us to believe more in Jesus, not in us. Whatever God does through us brings glory to Jesus. Now when God does something through you and you feel like it is due to your much prayer, fasting, study, effort, or something like that, repent and give God the glory for it is Jesus who does the job. You are only a vessel. It is Jesus' building. You are only a tool. It is Jesus who makes the sd to grow, you are only a sower. Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. Never entrust yourself to men. Never look for their testimony about you. When men speak well of you you have a reason to be worried for that is how they praised the false prophets. Let Jesus do the building. Build with Him.Join Him in His activity and allow Him to use you for His glory. Let those who destroy, Jesus will build in a record time. Today, let the zeal of the Lord consume you. Become serious and face lethargy with the seriousness it deserves. Don't laugh or joke when it comes to the issues to do with the house of God. Turn-tables if need be and allow the Lord to raise what needs to be raised.

Jesus Is Glorious.

 Ref; John;2;1-11.

In this Text, we see another perspective of who Jesus is, revealed. This is made possible

through the works He did. The works He did reveal His glory. So Jesus is glorious. This

means that Jesus carries the full deity of God in manly form. The thing, God, had endowed

in the first Adam, His likeness and image which first Adam lost after listening to the evil

one. On the third day, a wedding takes place at Cana of Galilee. Jesus’ mother is

present, and Jesus and his disciples have also been invited to the wedding. They run out of

the wine, then Jesus’ mother says to him, “They have no more wine.”Then Jesus responds

by asking His mother why she was involving Him before his time comes. The mother of

Jesus seems to lack more input on the objections of Jesus, and chooses to emphasize the

importance of paying attention to what Jesus would say.

The writer of the Gospel according to John seems to be an eye witness of what is happening for details of the kind of the jars available are given with an observer's description. Evidently, Jesus choose this situation to reveal His glory by helping out in this situation although his time had not yet come. Jesus then decides to help the situation out and gives direction what needs to be done so that he can help them out. The servants obey without questioning the guidance Jesus is giving. Many times we need Jesus' help but we are unmindful of what He is saying to us. We are like Naaman of the Old Testament, the general in the Syrian army who thought the prophet would simply wave his magical hand and cleanse his leprosy. If we need to see the glory of God in our situations and circumstances of life we need to understand how to take instruction from the Lord and then execute them without questioning. This way we will see the Glory of Jesus in our life. When we learn to take instructions from the Lord ungrudgingly, The Lord uses our obedience to Him to reveal His glory. When His glory is revealed to us through Him meeting us at the point of need, we come to know that Jesus is glorious. Today, if you want to see his glory in the circumstances and situations of your life, just obey Him as He speaks to you through His word in the Holy Scriptures. Are you sick? His word to you is that "I am the Healer."Are you in the bondage of sin? His word to you is that "I am the delivered"Whatever the need He is the answer. Mary said, do what He tells you to do. I say Just do what H tells you to do.

Jesus,The Son of God and King of Israel.

Ref; John;1;43-51.

Jesus leaves for Galilee. He finds Philip and says to Him, "Follow me."Philip like Andrew and Peter was from the town of Bethsaida. One of the most potent words Jesus used to invite people to join Him in what h had come to do was "Follow me." We need to come to the point where we learn to follow. Most of us want to be followed and they have no idea how to follow. If believers are to live to the purpose of which Jesus calls them into, we need to learn to follow Him. This is not walking side by side with Him it is to follow where He leads. When we learn to follow we will always find others who are willing to follow. Phillip finds Nathaniel and tells him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the Prophets also wrote-Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph.." When you learn to follow Jesus you will come to know him in the light of the Scriptures. According to Philip, Jesus is the one the Mosaic law and the prophetic writings in the old testament wrote about. Nathaniel asks, can anything good come from Nazareth? Then Philip tells him to come and see. When Jesus saw Nathaniel approaching, he said of him, "Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false."When Nathaniedesired to go see Jesus, Jesus saw him through to his roots. Jesus recognizes that Nathaniel is a true Israelite. Why did Jesus make this conclusion? Nathaniel was skeptical about what he had been told by Philip. Nathaniel also wanted to confirm the prophetic and Mosaic teaching in the life of Jesu for all Israelites were careful in observing the Law and the prophetic. Nathaniel wonders how Jesus knows him. Then Jesus declares to him, "I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you." Where Nathaniel was sitting under the fig tree, is symbolic. When Adam and Eve rebelled against God, they picked fig trees to cover themselves. The nation of Israel is likened to a fig tree. So Nathaniel was sitting under the fig tree waiting for the revelation of what the fig tree meant. Then Nathaniel declared, "Rabbi, you are the son of God; you are the king of Israel." After Nathaniel gets the revelation of the fig tree, he realizes who Jesus is, that Jesus is not just a Rabi, He is the Son of God and the King of Israel. Jesus responds to this declaration and says, "you believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You shall see greater things than that. I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."This statement by Jesus to Nathaniel, seeing angels ascending and descending draws a parallel in the life of Jacob at Bethel when he had a sleepover and used a stone for a pillow. He saw angels ascending and descending and said that the place was the house of God. Israel is also referred to as the house of God. So Jesus is the Son of God the Father who created all things and that he is the king of the house of God.

Jesus,The Lamb of God!

Text;John 1;29-34;

John the Baptist sees Jesus coming towards him. He says, "Look the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" In this exclamatory remark, John the baptist defines the purpose of Jesus coming to the world. In fact, Jesus did not just come to the world, He was sent by the father Just like John the Baptist had been sent by the father. Both John the Baptist and Jesus had been sent by the same Father, God, but with a different specific mission to fulfill. Who Jesus was according to John the Baptist defines clearly why He came to do; to take the sin of the world. He would accomplish this through his sacrificial death as the lamb of God. Sin is the root course of all evil there is and it is the tool the devil uses against humanity to alienate them against God. Just as the meek lamb would deal with sin and its consequences, death, through offering himself as a sin offering on the cross.

John the Baptist confirms that this is the one he meant when he said; A man who comes after me has surpassed him because he was before him. John puts clear the deity of Jesus by saying Jesus was before him. John was the voice of God and Jesus was that voice, the word of God. John attests to the fact that he did not know him except that the one who sent him to baptize with water told him. You cannot know Jesus unless God reveals him to you. This is the point John seeks to put clear. The instruction was that the man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. He saw and testified that this is the Son of God. The Holy Spirit was the witness to confirm the words of John, for at the witness of two or three all truth shall be established.

Today, if you want to deal with the sin factor in your life, take a step of faith and acknowledge the redemptive work Jesus did on the cross. Believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and that he was buried, and that after three days He resurrected with great power after which He appeared to over five hundred people. He then was taken up to heaven in the full view of the eleven apostles.
